Job Overview

We are inviting expressions of interest for an Integration Specialist to join our team supporting the delivery, development and continuous improvement of system integrations across our UK based operations within a military environment.

This role will be a key member of the team driving technology and maintenance for the CAE systems on flight simulators – both fixed wing and rotary.

Support of multiple sites may be required including, but not limited to, locations such as RAF Valley, RAF Shawbury, RAF Waddington, RNAS Yeovilton, RNAS Culdrose and RAF Cranwell.

Some visits may last multiple days, so a flexible travel schedule is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Updating computers, avionic systems, visual and other systems on simulators.
  • Hands‑on interaction with multiple software and hardware platforms.
  • Hardware setup and integration.
  • Software scripting, debugging and integration.
  • Schedule and coordinate hardware and software integration tasks with other groups.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of configuration management systems, hardware interfaces, and software development.
  • Provide technical expertise during subjective and objective evaluations of training devices.
  • Resolve acceptance faults and help with troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and review technical/operational deliverables prior to submission to the customer.
  • Attend project team meetings (weekly) with assigned staff.
  • Support customer reviews and formal assessments as required by the project.
  • Develop close working relationships between CAE UK and other CAE geographical entities to promote reuse of core products and technologies.
  • Stay current with software‑related technical advances and apply them to CAE solutions.
  • Prepare requirement specifications and other documents pertinent to CAE software processes.
  • Adhere to all company and contractual standards and processes applicable to software.
  • Travel to multiple locations within the UK to support several CAE customers and projects.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support possibly outside the UK as required.
  • Perform any other duties as specified.

Requirements

  • Good experience working on flight simulators – fixed wing, rotary, commercial or military (prerequisite).
  • Flexible to travel and be away from home from time to time, sometimes at short notice.
  • Comfortable providing high‑level and often complex support over the phone to engineers or technicians in situ.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Either holds or is able to obtain UK security clearance (requires at least 5 years UK residency).
  • Must have existing rights to live and work in the UK.
  • Any other duties as specified.
