The Training Centre Manager (TCM) proactively leads and manages the service delivery for their assigned platform(s) to meet the customer’s changing needs and ensures adequate prioritisation, including leading the Integrated Platform Team (IPT) and working with the project execution team for integration and transition of acquisition projects and discrete projects. The TCM manages the relationship with the Logistics and Contracts Authority for the relevant platform, ensuring proactive identification and communication of issues and risks to the customer and CAE to ensure contracted outcomes are delivered in an effective and safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Lead training centre operations, including projects, maintenance, training, engineering and functional support staff.
- Act as the first point of contact for the customer, attending onsite meetings when required.
- Address any gaps highlighted by the end user’s experience and concerns highlighted.
- Manage the training centre budget, schedule, quality, scope of services and risk.
- Ensure delivery of the highest quality through providing support and maintaining a proactive approach to customer management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong front-line or operational leadership experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects or programs of work.
- Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance – must be an Australian Citizen.
- Ability to work 5 days on site at either RAAF Base Williamtown or RAAF Base Edinburgh.
- Project Management qualification or equivalent proven experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Systems Engineering and/or Technology projects.
- Waterfall and Agile planning approach and scheduling of activities.
- Management of project financials.
- Strong experience managing risk and opportunities in accordance with ISO 31000.
