About This Role
We are looking for talent; that special combination of skills and experience that make for a good international Country Manager: The leader, influencer, strategist and stakeholder manager, with the drive and appetite for finding, qualifying, advancing and winning opportunities whilst ensuring the CAE in-country Brand is strong, recognised and adding value to the national defence community.
Responsible to the Regional BD Director, this role is to ensure CAE is perfectly placed within the end users’ mindset and the customer base, is recognised at the political level and integral to the training needs of the country OEMs. This does not mean to say we do not want people who can think with intelligent originality. Being creative is part of what gives CAE the competitive edge, and our international Country Managers will be at the heart of ensuring new and continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act strategically as well as tactically; managing activities in concert with the Regional BD team. Focusing on medium and long-term pipeline generation and qualification.
- Develop and lead a regional or country committee of senior management in order to align and create strategic direction.
- Be an officer of any relevant regional or country legal entities or JV.
- End User intimacy. CAE should be known and counted on by our Senior Military stakeholders. The Country Manager will map the stakeholders and engage with an education and confidence building plan among this important community.
- Ensure you are connected to, in frequent communications with and respected by the dominant OEMs in the country. OEMs are vital to our developed market and we cannot be left behind by them or seen to be always be the competition.
- Be the regional/country lead for the Government Relations team. Together, develop a heightened GR strategy and lead on being the in-country voice of CAE. Develop effective strategies for Brand recognition, putting CAE forward as the go-to, default defence training partner.
- Work with the BD and Marketing Teams to create an event strategy for defence exhibitions and air shows, lead on the engagement plan and the messaging for each event ensuring the right internal CAE senior representatives are present to drive home business with your in-country and visiting stakeholders.
- Be the in-country internal communications lead for Town Halls, transfer of strategy and ensuring full business transparency from the top down. Effective communications is key to success.
- Be a valued member of the EMEA BD Senior leadership team assisting with full regional coordination, support and escalation.
