The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving assigned revenue targets by acquiring new maintenance training clients and expanding business within an existing customer portfolio in a Level I territory. This role serves as the primary customer interface for all maintenance training solutions and acts as a trusted advisor to drive long‑term client engagement and growth. Territory assignments are based on market potential, historical performance, customer complexity, and individual experience to maximize success and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth & Sales Execution
- Own and deliver assigned revenue targets through new business acquisition and growth within existing accounts.
- Execute the CAE sales methodology, including prospecting, solution positioning, negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain strong focus and resilience to overcome objections and deliver on territory objectives.
- Manage the full sales cycle, ensuring accurate forecasting and delivery of projected growth.
- Customer Engagement & Advisory
- Act as the primary interface between customers and CAE for all maintenance training needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by assessing customer training requirements and aligning solutions to their needs.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships and foster open, transparent dialogue with clients.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of CAE’s product suite and articulate value propositions effectively.
- Territory & Pipeline Management
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan leveraging data insights (e.g., aircraft density, market trends).
- Identify key prospects and opportunities to expand wallet share.
- Build and sustain a healthy pipeline of new and existing opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in Salesforce, including opportunity tracking and probability of closure.
- Secure signed contracts for all scheduled training events in line with company policies.
- Customer Experience & Retention
- Deliver exceptional customer service through responsiveness, expertise, and proactive problem‑solving.
- Monitor customer engagement, identify trends, and mitigate risks to maximize retention.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication across all channels (email, phone, in‑person).
- Adapt approach based on customer dynamics and decision‑making processes.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong internal partnerships with Sales, Operations, Booking Specialists, Production Controllers, and Leadership.
- Ensure alignment to support high‑quality training delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a collaborative and performance‑driven team environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience or network within Business Aviation Maintenance (including MROs) is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships in a global, culturally diverse environment.
- Results‑driven with strong commercial acumen.
