Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Lead in implementing and maintaining a global, centralized Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance Monitoring framework in Burgess Hill.
  • Manage and continuously improve regional and local Quality Management and Compliance Monitoring Systems associated with CAE approvals under the Aircrew Regulation.
  • Coordinate and execute the approved Global Annual Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring audit program to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Manage and maintain regulatory and industry approvals for the assigned area, ensuring ongoing certification compliance.
  • Act as a point of contact with Regulatory Authorities, internal stakeholders, and external partners on Quality Assurance and safety matters.
  • Act as Postholder or Deputy Postholder, where applicable, and ensure continuous improvement of Quality Assurance and Compliance Management Systems across simulator and flight training centers (ATO and FTO).
  • Mentor and support local leadership to promote quality assurance, continuous improvement, and adherence to corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in working groups, conferences, and safety promotion activities to support system harmonization and best practices.
  • Collaborate with regional and center-level Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring leaders to align policies and practices while maintaining compliance with applicable National Aviation Authority (NAA) regulations.
  • Participate in and adhere to the Global Training Plan for Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring personnel.
  • Support monthly Safety, Quality, and Compliance Review Boards by monitoring performance, identifying non‑compliances, conducting root cause analyses, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by supporting the development of annual Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring KPIs.
  • Coordinate and maintain centralized Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring records and documentation as part of the Integrated Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance Monitoring system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Regional Leadership or the Director of Global Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring - Civil Division.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a qualified Quality Auditor.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI).
  • Knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks, including ICAO and applicable National Aviation Authority regulations related to safety, training, and operations.
  • Experience analyzing complex quality, compliance, technical, and operational issues and developing practical, stakeholder‑aligned recommendations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across office, airport, and training center environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the aviation or aviation training industry.
  • Previous experience in a Compliance Specialist or audit management role.
  • IOSA audit experience.
  • Experience establishing or coordinating Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Compliance Monitoring Systems (CMS) for training organizations or airlines.
  • Previous experience working as a regulator overseeing airlines or training organizations.
  • Ability to act as a Postholder or Deputy Postholder within an aviation regulatory framework.
