Overview
In this role, you will lead the safe, compliant delivery of CAE’s MPL and easyJet training at the Gatwick Center, ensuring alignment with approvals, manuals, and SOPs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality training experience and support the development of future airline pilots. The position offers influence over training excellence, instructor development, and governance across a leading MPL programme. You will act as the operational liaison for customer training matters, driving standardisation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
- Ensure MPL and easyJet platform training complies with ATO approvals, manuals, syllabi, SOPs, and customer requirements
- Oversee MPL courseware, lesson plans, grading forms, student- and instructor-facing materials; escalate revisions via document control
- Monitor attendance, progress, grading quality, and training records for regulatory and customer reporting
- Coordinate with instructors, examiners, and standards personnel to keep staff qualified and current
- Support instructor and examiner standardisation through briefings and updates; communicate SOP changes
- Identify and escalate student progress, performance, safety, and compliance concerns with remedial actions per ATO and governance processes
- Convene or support Student Training Boards and progress reviews
- Act as primary operational liaison for assigned customer training matters and actions tracking
- Support induction and ongoing communication so MPL students understand expectations and reporting routes
- Provide SME input on MPL training design, changes, and cross-centre standardisation
- Operate under delegated authority to support compliant training delivery and governance
- Perform other duties to ensure safe, compliant MPL and related training activities
Key requirements
- ICAO-compliant professional pilot licence (ATPL, CPL, MPL or equivalent) or equivalent qualification
- EASA and/or UK CAA ATPL desirable
- instructor qualification appropriate to MPL training oversight
- experience in ATO training delivery and instructor standardisation
- experience in MPL, ab initio training, CBTA or related pilot training environments
- knowledge of Part-FCL, Part-ORA, ATO manual requirements, qualification controls, and governance for student progress
- experience maintaining training records and regulatory compliance
- ability to collaborate with instructors, examiners, admin teams, standards personnel, courseware teams and customer airline reps
