As a Flight Simulator Instructor III at CAE, you will be responsible for delivering flight and ground training activities on your designated programme. Reporting to the Training Manager, you will support pilot development through simulator instruction, classroom training and performance-based coaching while maintaining regulatory and organisational training standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver flight training and ground training activities in accordance with assigned qualifications and programme requirements.
  • Conduct classroom systems training, performance ground school and simulator-based pilot training.
  • Ensure training is delivered in accordance with all applicable authorisations, qualifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct effective pre-flight and post-flight briefings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely training records and required documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending updates to curriculum and courseware materials that enhance the client training experience.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Customer Service, Scheduling, Human Resources and Regulatory Affairs, as required.
  • Pursue additional instructor qualifications as required by the programme.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Training Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Holds or previously held an Air Transport Licence (ATPL) / Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Holds or previously held a relevant aircraft type rating with operational experience, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1,500 hours of multi-pilot flight time.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and internet-based applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Customer-focused approach to training delivery and service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Residence within a two-hour driving distance of the training facility.

This position is offered on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) and is available as a permanent employment contract only.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a flight instructor.
  • Aviation training and operations experience acceptable to applicable regulatory authorities.
  • Experience or qualifications on one or more of the following aircraft platforms:
    • Embraer ERJ145: SFI/SFE, TRI/TRE
    • Embraer E190: SFI/SFE, TRI/TRE
    • Airbus A320: EASA SFE/TRE
    • Airbus A320: UK SFI/TRI currently holding, or having previously held, a Flight Instructor (FI) or Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) rating
    • Airbus A350: SFI/TRI
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups in a matrix environment.
