For our client, we are seeking a skilled and experienced General Ultrasound and Echocardiography Technician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The successful candidate will perform a range of general ultrasound exams (excluding obstetrics) and echocardiograms to support the diagnosis and management of patient conditions. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to patient care, and effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct Sonography examinations in accordance with relevant protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Applying independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic Sonography procedures.
- Referring specific diagnostic treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate Physician or healthcare professional.
- Assisting with the daily operation of the Sonography Facility.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Echocardiography program.
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- Echocardiography certification (e.g., Current registration with the Bermuda Council For Allied Health Professions (CAHP).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ultrasound (thyroid, breast, joints, soft tissues, pelvis, prostate, vascular) and echocardiography.
- Familiarity with non-obstetric pelvic and vascular imaging techniques is essential.
- Level 3 RDMS or RDCS OR RVT OR RMSKS.
- In addition to Level 1 or 2 certification, the Sonographer must have certification in the following areas: Vascular, Breast, Musculoskeletal, Paediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, Paediatric Sonography.
Full-time position includes shifts.
