We are a contemporary furniture retailer based in Surrey and are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our delivery team.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering, unpacking and assembling high-quality furniture in customers' homes. This is a customer-facing role requiring professionalism, care and attention to detail. Most working days will begin at our warehouse in Weybridge, Surrey. The role is varied and may include:
- Loading and unloading furniture
- Delivering to residential customers
- Unpacking and assembling furniture on site
- Handling goods in and stock movements
- Assisting with showroom displays and supporting exhibitions and events
Development & Wider Exposure
As a small and growing business, we offer the opportunity to gain exposure to other areas depending on your skills and interests. This may include:
- Planning routes and booking deliveries
- Supporting showroom sales during busy periods
- Helping staff our stands at exhibitions, interacting and engaging with prospective clients
- Assisting with customer service enquiries
- Supporting basic marketing activity, such as photographing completed deliveries for social media content
This role may suit someone who enjoys variety and is open to developing broader commercial skills and learning how a retail business operates.
Requirements
- Physically fit (heavy lifting involved)
- Punctual and reliable
- Well-presented and courteous
- Practical and hands-on mindset
- Strong customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience driving commercial vans
- Experience delivering and assembling furniture, or working in high-quality removals, would be advantageous.
Reward
After six months' service, eligibility for a quarterly retention bonus scheme will apply. Candidates should be within reasonable commuting distance of Weybridge, Surrey.
