We have an opportunity for a Technical Buyer to join the team at our Silverstone facility. In this role you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality machining components, parts, and materials. You will work closely with suppliers, design teams, technicians and engineers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of purchased goods. Identify and assess prospective suppliers while maintaining positive relationships with current suppliers, procuring machined parts and materials Analyse market trends and prices to ensure the competitiveness of purchased goods, negotiating the best price of goods with suppliers Work with design teams and engineers to determine material specifications and requirements Ensure the timely delivery of purchased goods within budgeted costs and work with internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding any issues related to supplier quality, delivery, or pricing Driven by high performance What do you need to bring to the team? Proven experience in a technical buying role within a similar automotive industry; CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement experience working with international suppliers and global sourcing is beneficial Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors and communicate effectively with key stakeholders/directors, while working in fast-paced environment on multiple tasks simultaneously Clear and concise communication, positively contributing to an open and inclusive culture A team like no other.
