We're looking for a skilled Senior CFD Engineer to lead the development and validation of advanced CFD methodologies within our Aerodynamics group. You will take technical ownership of key modelling improvements, drive correlation and predictive performance, and work closely with aerodynamicists, process engineers, and software engineers. In this senior position, you will also mentor junior engineers and help shape the team's modeling standards and technical direction.
- Lead the development and refinement of CFD methodologies to improve accuracy and correlation.
- Investigate and validate new modelling techniques, turbulence models, and workflow improvements.
- Drive integration of new methods into established CFD processes, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Aerodynamicists, Process Engineers, and Software Engineers to ensure modelling is fit-for-purpose and aligned with performance objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, supporting skill growth and consistent application of methodologies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Aerospace, Motorsport, Mechanical Engineering, or similar, ideally with CFD/Aerodynamics focus, or equivalent.
- 4+ years' experience in a relevant CFD role, ideally in high-performance or motorsport environments.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, numerical methods, and turbulence modeling.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with technical and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to guide or mentor junior engineers.
- Experience with commercial or open-source CFD solvers.
- Background in methodology development or solver behavior analysis.
