We are looking for a talented HPC Engineer to help push the boundaries of simulation, aerodynamics, and data-driven decision-making.   • Develop, maintain, and optimise the team’s High-Performance Computing infrastructure to support CFD, simulation, and analytics workloads.
  • Collaborate closely with Aerodynamics, CFD, and Software Engineering departments to ensure seamless workflow execution.
  • Benchmark, tune, and troubleshoot performance issues across clusters, schedulers, interconnects, storage, and compute nodes.
  • Support the deployment and scaling of engineering applications, including CFD solvers and data-processing tool chains.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Contribute to long-term HPC roadmap planning, including hardware refresh cycles and architectural improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HPC system administration or engineering within scientific, automotive, aerospace, or similar high-performance environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, cluster management, job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF), and parallel computing.
  • Experience with profiling, optimisation, and troubleshooting MPI/OpenMP-based applications.
  • Familiarity with HPC networking, storage, security, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience using or supporting large-scale HPC environments.
  • Knowledge of CFD workflows, meshing strategies, and solver tuning.
  • Cloud-based HPC experience.
  • Exposure to containerisation (Singularity/Apptainer, Docker) or orchestration technologies.
  • Experience optimising workloads on GPU-accelerated systems.
