Cadillac Formula 1 is preparing to compete in the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship. We are building a high-performance team and culture to succeed at the highest level, including engineering, design, and off-track specialists. We are seeking a Senior Vehicle Performance Engineer for our new Silverstone facility. You will lead vehicle performance simulation, analysis, model development, and simulator operations. We encourage innovation and sharing ideas to foster a collaborative environment.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with the Head of Performance Analysis to define strategic goals and plan workload based on resources.
- Manage performance, simulation, and vehicle dynamics projects to enhance:
- Short-term and long-term performance.
- Simulation and analysis tools.
- Support for Design, Aero, Strategy, and Race Engineering teams.
- Simulator operations and race event support.
- Tire model development.
- Continuous improvement of data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain departmental administration and reporting procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience in motorsport performance or vehicle dynamics.
- Experience developing and operating vehicle and tire simulation models.
- Strong understanding of physics and mathematics related to high-performance vehicles.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Leadership skills to manage projects and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Openness to new ideas and approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
