Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, well-validated parts for wind tunnel testing in line with aerodynamic targets.
- Lead complete design projects, including CAD creation, project management, quality-checking, and documentation.
- Continuously improve the functionality, quality, and robustness of model parts to optimize wind tunnel test efficiency.
- Drive the development and implementation of improved design workflows and standards.
- Collaborate closely with Aerodynamicists and Surface Design Engineers to ensure alignment with technical specifications.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team capability and modeling best practices.
- Ensure adherence to standard design practices and help refine them as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Design, Motorsport, or a related discipline or equivalent.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA) and experience in using FEA for structural validation of parts.
- Strong understanding of parametric modeling, part robustness, and model layout principles.
- Solid knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including composites and advanced digital manufacturing techniques.
- Deep understanding of GD.
