Please Note: This is a Weekend Shift position working 3 days x 12 hours Friday – Sunday from 7am – 7:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the machine shop team during weekend shifts, ensuring production targets are met with quality and efficiency.
  • Coordinate scheduling and workflow to optimize machine utilisation and output.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot operational issues promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support weekend operations and address urgent machining requirements.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and support to team members to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records for weekend activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in CNC machining and working knowledge of machine shop operations.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or motorsport environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software; HyperMill would be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively during weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Good understanding of health and safety protocols within a machine shop setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts and flexible hours as required.
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative team player.
