Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for maintaining accurate component lifecycle data across ERP and lifing systems, including mileage tracking and data verification against drawings and BOMs. The individual supports build and race events by managing life sheets, component allocations, repairs, and logistics, while coordinating with multiple teams to resolve data issues. They also contribute to system improvements, testing, and documentation to ensure efficient and reliable lifecycle management.
- Maintain Data Accuracy: Ensure component lifecycle data in ERP and lifing systems is accurate and current
- Mileage Tracking: Apply and verify session/event mileage for components in the lifing system
- Discrepancy Resolution: Log and help resolve data issues by coordinating with Project Delivery, Stores, Build, and Design teams
- Lifing System Support: Populate and maintain Life Sheets and digital car/event builds using CAD/BOM and team inputs
- Data Verification: Check new and existing component data against drawings, BOMs, and documentation
- Parts Allocation Planning: Create component allocation plans to optimize lifecycle usage and align with service schedules
- Repair & Order Management: Raise and track shop orders, ensuring timely service and repair of components
- Event Logistics: Coordinate component dispatch and return with the Parts Dispatch group, reporting on event deliverables and issues
- Event Support & Reporting: Support race events with build validation and post-event data processing, including damage and usage reporting
- System Development & Documentation: Contribute to system improvements, test new features, and maintain process documentation and user guides
Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Methodical approach with the ability to follow complex processes diligently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP/database systems is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical information (e.g., engineering drawings, BOMs) is desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
- A genuine interest in motorsport and Formula 1 is highly desirable
