The Cadillac F1® Team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Accountant to support inventory operations and ensure financial accuracy. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of inventory records, enforcing compliance with internal policies, and driving timely month-end close processes. You’ll play a key role in cost control, financial reporting, and operational decision-making – directly impacting race-critical inventory and cost cap compliance.
Responsibilities
- Month-End Close & Financial Reconciliation
- Perform pre-close checks, post journals, and reconcile inventory with GL accounts
- Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations, support variance analysis
- Ensure inventory expenses and COGS reporting align with policy
- Inventory Control & Compliance
- Conduct physical inventory checks and internal control testing
- Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve costing variances
- System Accuracy & Maintenance
- Test and validate IFS system controls and maintain overhead absorption rates
- Planning & Analysis
- Support inventory forecasting, budgeting, and costing analysis
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to align inventory data with financials
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Build cross-functional relationships and stay current with industry developments
- Identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
- CIMA / ICAEW / ACCA qualified with PQE experience
- Experience in inventory or cost accounting within manufacturing
- Strong grasp of inventory valuation and financial controls
- ERP system experience (IFS, SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication for cross-functional collaboration
