In this role you will contribute to the design of composite components and all associated tooling. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.
What you will be doing:
- Develop layouts and schemes for composite assemblies, ensuring optimal design and functionality
- Create detailed CAD models and drawings of composite components
- Creation of CAD models and drawings of composite tooling
- Prepare comprehensive manufacturing information for composite production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality standards
- Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure effective communication and implementation of design specifications
- Provide guidance and supervision to Graduate Designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality work

What do you need to bring to the team?
- Previous experience in Formula 1 or Top-Tier motorsport is essential
- Proven experience in a composite design role, including the design of bodywork, wings, bumpers, and interior components within the motorsport industry, is required
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX, with a proven track record of producing accurate and efficient designs
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar
- Knowledge of composite component design
- Knowledge of composite materials and their properties
- Knowledge or experience of composites manufacture
- Ability to plan and manage own workloads
- Clear and concise communication
- Ability to prioritize in a time pressured environment and manage personal deadlines
- Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently, while meeting challenging deadlines
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)
- Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
