The Cadillac Formula 1® Team is what happens when history, purpose and daring talent come together. Backed by TWG Global and GM, our team is uniquely positioned to disrupt Formula 1®, bringing a fresh perspective and an unrelenting drive for success. We have the energy of a start‑up, with the ideas and originality of a business that always wants to lead, never wants to follow. We’re building everything from the ground up, from a high-performance car to an inclusive, values-driven culture.
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Enterprise Network Engineer with deep Cisco expertise to support and develop our mission‑critical network systems across both our high-performance factory and fast-paced trackside environments. You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, resilient, and high‑bandwidth infrastructure essential to real‑time data transmission and operations during race weekends. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend advanced enterprise networking with the thrill of F1® — supporting both the long-term technical evolution at the factory and the immediate operational needs of the race team on location.
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi‑Fi across factory departments
- Monitor and optimize network performance for our Core Infrastructure, Campus Environments, R&D systems, simulator environments, wind tunnel connectivity, and CAD/PLM systems
- Ensure uptime and high-speed data connectivity between departments (design, aero, manufacturing, etc.)
- Work with security teams to implement and maintain robust cybersecurity policies and compliance
- Participate in network design and refresh projects, implementing Cisco best practices and technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, ISE, DNA Center)
- Ensure low-latency, secure data transmission between the car, trackside systems, and the factory for real-time telemetry and strategic decision-making
- Respond to operational issues swiftly under pressure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption during critical sessions (practice, qualifying, race)
- Collaborate with vehicle performance, strategy, and IT teams to ensure all data pipelines are functioning to spec
What do you need to bring to the team?
- Proven experience in enterprise-level Cisco networking, ideally in high-pressure environments (Cisco CCNP or higher preferred)
- Strong knowledge of routing/switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), firewalls (ASA, Firepower, Palo Alto), VLANs, QoS, and Cisco ISE/DNA Center
- Experience with wireless deployments (Cisco Meraki or equivalent) in high-density/temporary environments
- Ability to build and manage secure VPN tunnels and site-to-site connections globally
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat management, and network segmentation
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow) and scripting (Python, Ansible) is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure, especially during live events
- Willingness to travel internationally and work weekends during the F1® season
