We have an opportunity for an Electronic Installations Designer to join the team at our Silverstone facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the design of on and off-car electrical and electronic system installations. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.
Principal Accountabilities- Design of electrical installations, including harness routing and packaging of electronic components
- Contribute to the design of electrical harnesses and associated components
- Generation of technical documentation to support harness manufacture, car assembly, car operation and updates
- Support development of off-car systems, internal test facilities and rigs
- Resolution of electronic system faults
- Educated to degree level in an engineering subject or similar, or equivalent
- Extensive experience in electrical installation design, ideally using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE
- Proficiency with electrical schematic design packages, for example, Zuken E3 or VeSys Electrical
- Good understanding of electrical components, systems and their integration
- Ability to plan and manage own workloads
- Clear and concise communication
- Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines
- Strong levels of IT skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
