We have an opportunity for an Aero Data Quality Engineer to join the team at our Silverstone facility. In this role you will work within a group of engineers to provide input to the Aero Performance & Correlation Group, specifically in the field of correlation across our wind tunnel, CFD and track data whilst ensuring that the data acquired in each environment is accurate and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of aero performance data collected from wind tunnel tests, CFD simulations and on-track telemetry.
  • Develop and implement data validation and quality control processes to maintain high standards of data integrity.
  • Collaborate with aerodynamicists, engineers and data scientists to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of data quality processes to ensure continuous improvement as part of the wider correlation project.
  • Work closely with other members of the Aero Performance group and other engineering groups.
  • Provide a flexible attendance and attitude to work, in line with the requirements for the role and specific project requirements.

What do you need to bring to the team?

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (Aerodynamics/Aeronautics) or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry.
  • A good understanding of aerodynamics is required, with a keen attention to detail and must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of data acquisition methods in an aerodynamic test environment.
  • Good coding skills in a mathematical language (e.g. Python).
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with key stakeholders/directors.
  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
