Role Overview:
As a Race Team Composite Technician at Cadillac Formula 1 Team, you will be a key part of the trackside and factory operations, ensuring our carbon fibre components meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. This role combines technical expertise in composites with the agility and precision required in high-pressure race environments. You will be responsible for the preparation, repair, and fitting of composite parts at both the track and factory, contributing directly to the car\’s competitiveness on race weekends.
- Prepare, assemble, and fit composite components (e.g. wings, floors, chassis) to exacting tolerances before and during F1 race events and test sessions.
- Conduct inspection and damage assessments of composite assemblies.
- Deliver rapid, high-quality repairs under tight deadlines during race weekends, often in high-pressure and time-constrained conditions.
- Maintain an accurate record of part usage, lifing, and repair history in compliance with team.
- Be responsible for the stock management of composite parts materials, and consumables inventory at the track.
- Support car build and operations during test, race, and development programs.
- Provide a proactive input to aid the improvement of Race Team Composite trackside operations. The development of working practices and equipment requirements.
- Play an active role in the pit crew and participate in live race pit stops
- Travel globally as part of the race team, supporting the car at a Grand Prix weekends, tests, and simulator sessions as required.

- Proven experience in composite manufacturing and repair within a high-performance motorsport environment
- Deep understanding of carbon fibre construction, layup techniques, and aerospace-grade repair procedures.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and composite layup schedules.
- Experience with composite repair tooling, jigs, and portable equipment used in trackside environments.
- Highly adaptable with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality and safety.
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively under extreme time and performance pressures.
- Able to travel extensively, often internationally, and work long hours across a demanding F1 calendar.
- Experience in pit stop operations within a Formula 1 team or elite motorsport environment is highly desirable.
