Role
The Technical Office is looking for an experienced Project Planner to conduct the technical planning of our Formula 1® launch car and in-season upgrade projects. This role works in very close collaboration with an Operations Office counterpart (Operations Project Manager) to ensure the operational timescales are fully understood, resulting in a single, integrated plan from design through to delivery. This role will be key to ensuring the on-time delivery of projects and thus key programme milestones are adhered to, as set by our Programme Office.
Responsibilities
- Define design release milestones for all project hardware, including car components and test or validation fixtures
- Assess overall resource requirements and actively manage any broader technical or programme-level impacts arising from delivery plans
- Develop robust, fully aligned project plans in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring consistency with the overarching Programme objectives
- Maintain, track and clearly report project status, risks and progress throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Provide planning support to the Technical department across a range of activities, contributing to effective prioritisation and decision-making
- Build and sustain strong, effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting clear communication, trust and alignment across all functions
Qualifications
- Experience of working in a planning function within Formula 1® or high-level motorsport, ideally in the Design Office environment
- Proven delivery of projects working across different functions
- Strong communicator enabling relationship building across numerous departments
- Experience with Microsoft Project, PWA, Wrike or other similar Project Management tools and within a PLM system such as 3DX or NX
- ‘Can do’ attitude to aid delivery of tight timescale projects
- Good experience with Microsoft tools
