The Communications Manager will play an integral role in building and managing the Communications function of the team. They will work with the Head of Media & PR to build a year-long strategy to position Cadillac within the F1 and wider media landscape according to its communications strategy. Working closely with team management and drivers, the Communications Manager will identify storylines and create proactive opportunities to continually push Cadillac up the media agenda.
· Work with the Head of Media & PR to shape a year-long narrative within sporting media.
· Generate content ideas to achieve coverage within consumer & broadcast media to drive awareness of Cadillac F1 Team outside the F1 press.
· Coordinate media plans for each race, working with team drivers & personnel to ensure feasibility & effective use of time.
· Respond to day-to-day media questions quickly and according to team brief.
· Highlight and escalate topics where appropriate to team spokespersons.
· Liaison with social media & marketing teams to enable engaging content for the team’s social media channels.
· Contribute to drafting media facing materials, eg. Press kits, press releases.

· Minimum 7 years of experience working within a fast-paced media environment.
· Excellent media contacts, ideally within motorsport or sport.
· Great interpersonal skills.
· Able to work under pressure, with a cool head.
· Ability to write engaging content for media appeal.
· Ability to spot & generate a story.
· Flexible approach to work & travel; your presence at the majority, if not all, races on the F1 calendar will be required.
· Languages would be an advantage.
