Please Note: This is a Night Shift position working 4 days x 10 hours Monday – Thursday from 5pm – 3:30am.
As part of this endeavor, we are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our esteemed team based in Silverstone. As a CNC Machinist specializing in Turning, you will play a pivotal role in the production of precision components essential for our high-performance racing cars. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success and competitiveness of the Cadillac Formula 1® Team.
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision metallic components in compliance with exacting specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks on finished components to ensure adherence to defined standards.
- Collaborate effectively with design engineers and fellow machinists to improve manufacturing processes and optimize production techniques.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of all machining activities performed.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What do you need to bring to the team?
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist focused on Turning operations, preferably within a motorsport or precision engineering setting.
- Strong background in CNC turning processes, tooling selection, and machine maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to utilize measurement tools and equipment for quality assurance processes.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
- Familiarity with advanced CNC controls and programming languages.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, HyperMill would be an advantage.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards in the workplace.
- Capability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements.
