As an OT Systems Architect, you’ll play a key role in designing, defining, and implementing cutting-edge OT and SCADA solutions that drive operational efficiency and security. Working at the heart of innovation, you will help shape the technology landscape of our gas distribution network, collaborating with key stakeholders across Digital Delivery, Digital Risk & Security, Asset Investment, and Network Delivery teams.

- Defining Architectural Vision – Develop a clear technical roadmap for OT and SCADA solutions, ensuring they align with Operations 4.0 and Cyber Resilience strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Engage with key partners across the business, from engineers to leadership teams, ensuring alignment of OT strategy and investments.
- Solution Design & Implementation – Oversee the development and deployment of telemetry, network, and security solutions across IT and OT environments.
- Technical Leadership – Provide expertise to project delivery teams, ensuring best practices and future-ready solutions.
- Security & Compliance – Work closely with security specialists to ensure OT systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (NCSC CAF, NIS, IEC 62443).
What you will bring
- Extensive experience in OT/SCADA system architecture, including industrial control systems and automation.
- Strong technical understanding of PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, and industrial network protocols (e.g., Industrial Ethernet, DNP3, Modbus TCP/RTU).
- Ability to design and deploy OT solutions in high-security, mission-critical environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience implementing secure OT solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with engineers, security teams, and senior stakeholders.
