You’ll play a key role in translating complex technical, cyber security and architectural inputs into clear, structured and high-quality documentation that supports effective decision-making, governance and delivery.
Working across enterprise architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, cloud and programme delivery teams, you’ll take information from workshops, design discussions and technical conversations and convert it into coherent, accurate and usable outputs. From high-level designs through to detailed technical specifications and governance artefacts, your work will ensure that solutions are clearly defined, aligned and ready for delivery. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between technical experts and structured documentation, helping ensure that complex solutions are well understood, well governed and successfully delivered.
Why you'll love this role:
- End to End Design Visibility – Support documentation across the full solution lifecycle, from concept through to delivery and operational handover.
- Technical Breadth – Work across multiple domains including architecture, cyber security, cloud and infrastructure.
- Influence and Collaboration – Partner with architects, engineers, programme teams and suppliers to shape and refine solution outputs.
- Structured Governance Impact – Produce artefacts that directly support design authority, audit, risk and regulatory processes.
- Variety and Scale – Operate across multiple projects and programmes, contributing to Cadent’s wider transformation agenda.
- Continuous Improvement – Help improve documentation quality, standards and processes across the organisation.
What you'll bring:
- Technical Documentation Expertise - Experience producing high quality technical documentation across IT, cyber security or architecture environments. Strong capability in creating HLDs, LLDs and technical design artefacts.
- Translation and Communication Skills - Ability to translate complex technical discussions into clear, structured documentation. Strong written communication with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Architecture and Technical Awareness - Understanding of enterprise and solution architecture principles. Awareness of IT, infrastructure, cloud and cyber security domains.
- Cyber Security Understanding - Knowledge of key security concepts such as identity and access management, resilience and secure design principles.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Experience working with architects, engineers and project teams. Ability to challenge ambiguity and improve clarity in technical inputs.
- Organisation and Delivery Focus - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience delivering documentation aligned to programme milestones and governance.
