We’re looking for an experienced and driven Planning & Scheduling Manager to lead our planning and control room function across the East Midlands. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring operational plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer and business expectations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead planning and control room operations
  • Manage and develop the planning, scheduling, and control room team
  • Ensure operational plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time
  • Develop and optimise work programmes
  • Oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment and efficiency
  • Work closely with internal teams, supply chain partners, and highway authorities
  • Deliver against regulatory and business targets
  • Drive performance & continuous improvement
  • Analyse performance data and identify areas for improvement
  • Use MI and insights to support decision making and planning efficiency

Experience

  • Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or programme management
  • Experience working with MRP systems (essential)

Skills

  • Good understanding of GSOP requirements, Jeopardy Management, and Streetworks
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage challenging conversations
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive improvements
