Are you ready to take your skills to the next level with Cadent? We’re looking for a dedicated Instrumentation Technician to join our Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) team within the Energy Operations directorate. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, modifying, and repairing E&I systems across our gas transportation assets, ensuring safe and efficient operations across the network.
Location Requirement: To support our operational needs, we are specifically looking for candidates in areas such as; Hitchin, Chelmsford, Bedfordshire, Luton or Norwich. Regular travel is part of the role, so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

- Asset Health – Assess and report on the condition of E&I equipment and systems.

What you\\\’ll bring:
You’re a skilled technician with a strong background in instrumentation systems and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Experience – Proven experience in an Instrumentation inspection testing
- Technical Knowledge – Familiarity with E&I technical standards, maintenance procedures, and relevant codes of practice.
- Legislation Awareness – Understanding of BS7671, EAWR, and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Qualifications –
- City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent
- Instrumentation and Controls
- Approved apprenticeship
- Certifications – COMPEX EX01–04 preferred but not essential.
- Team Player – Able to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive approach.
