We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Operational Assurance Manager to join our team across the East of England network. This is a full‑time role with a hybrid working pattern, based across the East of England network with regular travel required across sites and depots. The role includes standby responsibilities as part of a Band D rota.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide operational assurance & oversight
  • Provide assurance across replacement, MOBs, and related operational programmes
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with business standards
  • Oversee planning, design, and delivery activities
  • Work with internal teams and delivery partners to ensure effective scheduling and resourcing
  • Monitor performance & manage risk
  • Monitor operational performance and compliance across delivery activities
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and act as an escalation point where required
  • Carry out site assurance activities across the network
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements

Experience

  • Strong experience in operational delivery, assurance, or programme management

  • Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards (e.g. NEBOSH)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Ability to drive operational performance and continuous improvement
