As our Microsoft Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll be a key member of Cadent’s cyber security engineering team, focused on designing, implementing, and integrating security solutions across both IT and OT environments. What you will bring
- 3+ years’ experience in cyber security or related fields.
- Expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Azure, and Entra ID.
- Experience operating in SOC or cyber security operations environments.
- Familiarity with OT, SCADA, and IC environments (desirable).
- Strong understanding of SIEM, SOAR, log management, and automation.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and event log formats (e.g., JSON).
- Knowledge of threat modelling, attack vectors, and compensating controls.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SC-100, SC-200, CEH, CompTIA Sec+, Network+) and a degree in Cyber.
