Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reported gas escapes or CO alerts as the first on scene at customers' homes, working on both contracted and emergency jobs.
  • Engage directly with customers and emergency services, managing incidents safely and effectively.
  • Carry out scheduled installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters for domestic and commercial properties.
  • Monitor gas readings on programmed escapes and perform medium-rise, high-rise and gas safety regulation surveys.
  • Fit cooker safety valves, attend meter faults, purge, relights and other routine service tasks.
  • Operate independently while ensuring public safety and adhering to industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working within a gas environment; good knowledge and experience of gas appliances; testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
  • Comfortable engaging with the public to ensure customers are looked after and kept safe.
  • Ability to solve technical issues and think on feet.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Mandatory qualifications: CENWAT, CCN1. Holding MET1 and/or CESP1 highly desirable.
