Shape the regulatory frameworks that support Cadent's future performance and customer outcomes. This permanent role is based at Ansty Business Park, Coventry, within the Regulatory Strategy team.

Responsibilities

  • Shape how Cadent operates within current and future regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop charging methodologies for customers connecting and using the network.
  • Support work that directly influences revenue recovery and how Cadent responds to decarbonisation challenges such as biomethane, hydrogen and emerging energy systems.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and external bodies such as Ofgem and industry partners, providing insight, analysis and thought leadership to support strategic decision‐making.
  • Interpret complex regulatory developments and translate them into clear business impacts and actions.
  • Support consultation responses, reporting and regulatory engagement activity.
  • Work cross‐functionally with strategy, operations, finance and engineering teams to embed regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Regulatory or Energy Sector Experience, understanding of regulatory frameworks ideally within utilities or energy.
  • Experience developing charging methodologies that ensure fair and cost‐reflective charges to customers.
  • Analytical capability to interpret complex data and regulatory developments and turn them into actionable insight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and external bodies.
  • Commercial awareness – understanding of pricing, charging frameworks or market structures (desirable).
  • Adaptability, comfortable working in a fast‐paced, evolving regulatory environment.
