Driving Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Gas Infrastructure Projects Across the East Midlands

As a Project Supervisor in Cadent’s East Midlands Capital Delivery Team, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering critical capital investment projects that support the region’s gas infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This includes overseeing day-to-day site activities, coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and ensuring full compliance with Cadent’s Delivery Assurance Framework, CDM regulations, and Safe Control of Operations (SCO) procedures.

Your role will also involve close collaboration with stakeholders across the business, including Network Control, IPO, Strategic Partners, and Engineering teams. You’ll be responsible for monitoring project performance, managing risks, and ensuring that all technical and safety standards are met. With a strong focus on operational excellence and regulatory compliance, you’ll play a key part in shaping the success of Cadent’s investment programme while supporting a culture of continuous improvement and safety leadership.

  • Conduct site visits and provide technical support to Area Managers, including standby participation
  • Develop key project management skills

What You\'ll Bring:
  • Full UK Driving License
  • HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent in network engineering or related discipline
  • IOSH certification
  • Practical experience as SCO AE & CP
  • Experience supervising engineering projects, ideally in the gas industry
  • Strong understanding of contract management and gas plant/process systems
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and process safety principles
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong internal drive and willingness to work autonomously to deliver projects
