Our client are a leading residential developer in the South East and due to their continued success and growth are now seeking a Social Value Manager to join their successful planning and delivery team. The role of the Social Value Manager within the business will be delivery, measurement and reporting of social value activities across their residential development projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, planning obligations, ESG objectives and recognised frameworks such as the UK Social Value Model and Social Value TOMS.
Within the role some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement the company’s social value strategy.
- Align social value objectives with corporate ESG and sustainability goals.
- Identify opportunities to maximise social value throughout project lifecycles.
- Calculate forecast social value using recognised methodologies such as: Social Value TOMS, National TOMS, HACT Social Value Calculator and UK Government Social Value Model.
- Develop social value strategies to support planning applications.
- Establish partnerships with schools, colleges and universities.
- Work with subcontractors to maximise local recruitment.
- Monitor workforce demographics and local employment targets.
- Coordinate apprenticeships and trainee programmes.
- Ensure social value commitments are embedded within business operations.
