The UK’s screen sector is a global success story – but the people who power it often face complex challenges. Long hours, insecure employment, and mental and financial pressures are common, particularly for those working behind the scenes.

The Film and TV Charity exists to support those people and to push for a kinder, fairer industry. They are there for the camera crew and costume designers, the runners and riggers, the schedulers and sound engineers. And they’re working to change the systems that make life harder than it needs to be.

Now the Film and TV Charity are looking for their first Chief Operating Officer: a strategic, commercially minded leader to take charge of income generation, operations, finance and digital strategy. It’s a new role, created to help them scale up their impact and build a more sustainable future.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team, developing income streams and building strong partnerships with funders, supporters and industry stakeholders. You’ll ensure they’re delivering well across their programmes and services, and that they’re making the most of their assets, people and data.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with sharp commercial instincts and a passion for social impact. You don’t need to come from the charity sector, but you do need to care deeply about improving lives behind the scenes.
