As a Sr Application Engineer specialising in CFD and engineering simulation, you will be at the forefront of driving adoption of Cadence Reality DC, our proprietary data centre simulation software. You will work directly with high-profile customers, guide them through complex deployments, and serve as a critical bridge between end-users and our product development team. This role blends deep technical expertise with customer-facing impact, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer Technical Support
- Partner with high-profile customers to drive successful adoption and deployment of Cadence Reality DC.
- Deliver expert software support and hands-on modelling advice directly to end-users.
- Analyse customer workflows and identify opportunities to continuously improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Design and deliver tailored training courses that empower users to maximise software value.
- Produce high-quality tutorial and instructional video content for self-service learning.
- Collaborate with the sales team on pre-sales activities including compelling technical presentations and live software demonstrations.
- Lead customer evaluation processes, ensuring all technical requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
- Execute model creation, thermal and airflow analyses, site surveys, and deliver polished reports and presentations.
- Represent Cadence at customer sites nationally and internationally as required.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product insights to continuously improve Cadence Reality DC.
- Prioritise and advocate for key features and capabilities based on real-world customer usage patterns.
- Research advanced modelling techniques, exploring new and existing software functionality.
- Rigorously test new features and provide detailed, constructive improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
Job Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant data centre industry experience.
- Solid foundational knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermal sciences.

- Practical understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) principles and simulation workflows.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
