Cadeler is looking for a Senior Marine Superintendent to act as the focal point for regulatory requirements, vessel performance, and emergency preparedness in the offshore wind industry.
Responsibilities
- Act as the focal point for regulatory requirements, vessel performance, and emergency preparedness.
- Provide expertise on IMO, Flag State, and Class Society regulations; lead audits; support marine teams offshore.
- Develop, maintain and improve the company’s management system and fleet/vessel documentation, in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Assist vessels in implementing and improving vessel‑specific documentation.
- Manage internal audits and inspections, close findings, and develop corrective/preventative action plans.
- Provide support during external audits and inspections, including Flag State administrations and Port State Control.
- Coordinate marine/nautical matters with vessel crews, HSEQ, and other business units during project preparation and execution.
- Support commercial and project teams in evaluating potential charter agreements, project requirements, and asset inspections.
Qualifications
- Master mariner or equivalent marine operations experience.
- Knowledge of international maritime codes (ISM, MLC, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Experience as an internal or lead auditor.
- Experience in offshore and marine operations such as dynamic positioning and jacking, preferably in the offshore wind sector.
- Experience with Wind Turbine Installation Vessels is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
