Cadeler is a global partner in the offshore wind industry, specializing in wind farm construction and maintenance. We are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and plays a critical role in the energy transition with a strong long-term outlook. As our industry continues to develop, so do we!
As our PR & Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering Cadeler's external communications. The role combines hands-on execution of press releases, corporate announcements, project milestone communications and media activities with the ability to provide sound communications support during reputation-sensitive situations. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will help ensure our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with Cadeler’s strategic priorities.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, development and execution of external communications, including press releases, corporate announcements and supporting communication materials.
- Owning communications related to contract awards, project milestones, newbuild progress and other strategic company announcements, including supporting financial reporting communications and executive messaging.
- Managing media enquiries while building and maintaining strong relationships with trade, business and national media.
- Coordinating media interviews, vessel visits and preparing communication materials for company spokespersons.
- Supporting crisis and incident communications by preparing holding statements, media responses and stakeholder messaging within agreed governance frameworks.
- Collaborating closely with Communications & Marketing, Investor Relations, Sustainability, Operations, Commercial, Legal and Executive Management to ensure proactive planning, stakeholder alignment and effective communications across the organisation.
- Contributing to the continuous development of Cadeler's corporate reputation and external positioning in existing and emerging markets.
To succeed in this role, being part of the Cadeler community means you will have a natural interest and care for the environment and our shared mission to speed up the green energy transition. Your environmental considerations and the safety of our people and the planet will be a key priority in your daily work.
We are looking for a proactive and strategic PR & communications professional who combines excellent storytelling skills with sound judgement and a collaborative mindset. You enjoy managing multiple stakeholders and priorities, think ahead, anticipate communication implications, remain calm under pressure, and know how to communicate complex topics in a clear, engaging and credible way.
We think you will be a good match if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
- Bring at least five years of experience within PR, media relations or corporate communications, preferably in an international B2B environment.
- Have proven experience managing corporate announcements, media relations, executive and financial communications, and crisis communications while collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience from the offshore wind, energy, maritime, infrastructure or another complex industrial sector is considered an advantage.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (with proficiency in Danish an advantage but not essential), a strong understanding of strategic communications principles, and are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
