As our industry continues to grow, so do we! We are now looking for a Technical Designer to help strengthen collaboration with key departments and secure Cadeler's future success.

What will you do?

As our new Technical Designer, you will collaborate with e.g. Project Engineers, Tender Managers, and Lifting Engineers on deck arrangement and steel structure, marine operations, 3D model verifications, etc. Furthermore, you will collaborate with your colleagues in defining best practices.

Your main tasks include:

  • Develop and review 2D and 3D technical drawings and design activities in collaboration with project engineers and managers for Cadeler project preparation, tender activities and vessel operations. Main field of technical design: deck arrangement and steel structure, lifting operations, marine operations, 3D model verifications.
  • Sourcing, following up and reviewing externally sourced technical design scope of work for large technical design scope or work. Main field of outsourced design: steel constructions, marine operations, new equipment design.
  • Supporting offshore operations and supporting the vessel organization in execution of the work.
  • Supporting lead engineers and the head of department in defining the technical design scope of work for specific projects and tasks.
  • Manage and develop our CAD software set-up and methods as well as acting as Technical Authority in CAD competencies.
  • Ensure the highest standard of sustainability and environmental considerations in the execution of the work.

We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset, who thrives in problem-solving and has a structured way of working.

We think you will be a good match if you have:

  • A proven academic level of achievement (bachelor’s degree or higher).
  • Minimum of 2 years industry-related drawing office experience.
  • Experience including offshore construction operations design / offshore wind construction is preferred.
  • A high level of knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD packages and associated tools.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • A high professional level of English, written and spoken.
