Cadeler is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with your skills and interests.

We are now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design of technical solutions for our vessels in the future.

As our new Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of our Asset Development team, performing plan approval and evaluation of technical solutions from shipyards and equipment suppliers in connection with vessel new buildings, conversions, and upgrades to existing vessels. You will take care of technical negotiations and write up specifications for asset upgrades, as well as optimization of the vessels control- and automation systems.

We are looking for a profile who is able to combine a technical mindset with commercial reality and client requirements:

  • An innovative problem solver who is well-organised and structured with a solution orientated approach to their work.

We think you will be a good match if you have:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years experience in the Marine or Offshore/wind industry
  • In depth experience with HV/DC distribution grids, frequency drives and automation
  • FMEA familiarity
  • Fluency in the English language at a high professional level both oral and written
  • Prior knowledge of Dynamic Positioning systems is an advantage
  • Prior knowledge and experience with onboard energy storage systems is an advantage
