Our client, a well-established and growing fire protection specialist based in Essex, is currently seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Supervisor to join their expanding operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in passive fire protection to take on a supervisory role across projects in London and the surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing fire stopping works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations across multiple fire stopping projects
- Ensure all works are completed in line with project specifications, programme deadlines, and quality standards
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and reporting duties
- Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance in accordance with company procedures
- Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, subcontractors, and site teams
- Ensure all installations and remedial works are signed off to a high standard
- Support hands-on installation works where required, including fire stopping and fire door remedial works
- Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and industry standards
- Work collaboratively with construction teams to deliver successful project outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the fire stopping/passive fire protection industry
- Previous supervisory experience desirable
- Strong knowledge of fire stopping installations and remedial works
- Experience in surveying, auditing, and reporting
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Professional approach with strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel across London and surrounding areas
Essential Certifications & Licences
- NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping
- Valid CSCS Card
- DBS Certificate
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
