Our client is looking to recruit a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Newdigate, Dorking. Key Responsibilities- Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.
- Measuring quantities from drawings and specifications.
- Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment.
- Assisting with subcontractor procurement and obtaining quotations.
- Helping to prepare and review subcontractor accounts.
- Monitoring project costs and reporting on expenditure.
- Supporting the preparation of final accounts.
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.
- Liaising with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Providing general commercial support to the Quantity Surveying team.
- Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, or relevant industry experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
