Electrical Tester – Permanent Position Location: Central & West London Position: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum + Package The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Tester to join an established client on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work across a variety of sites throughout Central and West London, carrying out electrical testing, inspection and certification, with a particular focus on temporary/site-based electrical installations. We are looking for a highly organised, technically competent and self-motivated individual who is able to work independently, manage their own workload and coordinate the work of others where required. Key Responsibilities * Carry out electrical inspection, testing and certification across multiple sites. * Test and inspect temporary electrical installations and site supplies. * Complete EICRs and other electrical testing and inspection requirements. * Ensure electrical installations comply with current regulations, specifications and drawings. * Identify electrical faults and coordinate or undertake remedial works where required. * Read and interpret electrical specifications, drawings and relevant documentation. * Manage and prioritise your own workload to ensure deadlines are met. * Coordinate and manage the work of other operatives where required. * Work effectively under pressure and across multiple sites. * Liaise with site teams, clients, contractors and other stakeholders. * Ensure a high level of accuracy across all testing, documentation and certification. * Maintain excellent health & safety standards at all times. * Work proactively and use initiative to resolve issues effectively. Knowledge The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of: * Design and Build projects. * Electrical specifications and drawings. * Temporary/site-based electrical installations. * Current electrical regulations and industry standards. * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and Word. Experience The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 5 years' experience working on site within the services/construction industry. Previous experience working with temporary/site-based electrical installations. Experience managing and prioritising their own workload and the workload of others while working under pressure. Experience managing and coordinating the work of others. Previous experience working within the public sector is desirable. Previous experience managing people. Ability to work independently and use own initiative. Experience working across multiple sites and managing changing priorities. Strong understanding of site-based working environments. Qualifications & Requirements Essential: ECS Gold Card. City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing or equivalent. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – up to date. Proven electrical testing and inspection experience. Minimum 5 years' relevant site-based experience. Desirable: NVQ Level 3/6 in a construction-related subject or equivalent.
