Our client, a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile £20 million new build and refurbishment project within a secure environment.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of this major construction project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with the client, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, you will play a key role in maintaining strong stakeholder relationships while driving programme performance from pre-construction through to completion.
The role includes attendance at the Brighton head office 1–2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a £20 million new build and refurbishment project from inception through to completion.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and risk.
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with quality, safety and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
- Monitor project performance and implement solutions to mitigate risks and delays.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and reporting requirements.
- Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the project.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for an accomplished Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex construction projects for a Tier 1 main contractor.
You will have
- Significant experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor (essential).
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Experience delivering projects within secure environments. Previous experience on MOD or MOJ projects would be highly advantageous.
- Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent) and SMSTS certification.
