Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day‑to‑day site engineering activities in line with project plans.
  • Ensure design documentation, drawings, and specifications are correctly implemented on site.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety of construction activities.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to resolve site issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with nuclear regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate works and solve technical challenges.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and handover of plant and infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree or HND in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the nuclear sector or on similarly complex, safety‑critical projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and engineering principles.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Competence with project management, scheduling, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Desirable

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership.
  • Familiarity with nuclear site procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, or radiation protection.
