We are working with a growing contractor to recruit a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial function across multiple live sites. Reporting directly to the Commercial Lead, this role will assist with the day-to-day commercial management of projects, with a particular focus on procurement, subcontractor administration, and payment processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS looking to develop their commercial knowledge within a supportive environment, gaining exposure to wider commercial reporting and business operations over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with procurement activities across 3-4 concurrent sites
- Prepare and issue subcontractor enquiries and support package evaluations
- Support the administration of subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Assist with managing and processing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain cost tracking information and support project financial control
- Provide support to the Commercial Lead with reporting and forecasting tasks
- Liaise with site teams to ensure commercial activities align with project delivery
- Utilise Excel and Construction Manager (Eque2) for reporting and cost management
