We are seeking an experienced MEP Site Manager to join our team due to a number of exciting new projects. What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality and affordability across the design, installation, and maintenance of all essential systems including: Water, gas, and electricity supplies; Lighting, heating, and air-conditioning; ICT; Security systems.
  • Fully understand and manage the M&E design requirements of the tender/project.
  • Consider all aspects of achieving safe systems of works and contribute to the production and review of project specific health & safety plans, method statements and inspection schedules.
  • Contribute to and liaise with Contracts Manager/Project Manager and Project QS to produce M&E Programme, IRS, and Procurement Schedules.
  • Compile, record, and manage RFI’s.
  • Manage the issue of drawings to the supply chain, update and maintain the drawing register.
  • Distribute file and record all drawing revisions.
  • Help to protect the environment by keeping energy wastage to a minimum.
  • Monitor design progress and ensure that release of information complies with the requirements of the design programme, IRS, and procurement schedule.
  • In conjunction with the site team, review and redline drawings, specifications and other design information issued by the Consultant team.
  • Contribute to and manage all M&E systems installations and specialist sub contractors.
  • Produce weekly M&E reports and site diaries for the project.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure compatibility of building and services, and compliance to the contract specification requirements.
  • Attend production meetings and give input on programme or quality issues.
  • Add value and reduce cost without reducing durability and warranty.
  • Communicate site risks and opportunities to the site team.
  • Attend client meetings if required.
  • Communicate any changes / variations to the Project QS.
  • Contribute to and manage all quality checks by the site installation teams and specialist sub contractors. Ensure all records are kept and managed.
  • Contribute to and manage all health & safety checks by the site installation teams and specialist sub contractors. Ensure all records are kept and managed.
  • Attend all site progress meetings and contribute to the rest of the site team.
  • Contribute to the production of M&E Commissioning Programmes.
  • Contribute and manage the M&E systems commissioning and attendance to client witnessing.
  • Attend close down meeting.
  • Advise clients on how the building services will operate once the building is complete.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10 years plus experience in the management of large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary construction teams.
  • Experience managing MEP subcontractors and packages.
  • Ability to work to programmes and manage sub-contractors production to suit those programmes.
  • Sound knowledge of construction delivery within specialised industrial sectors including commercial, industrial, multi-room/residential, etc.
  • Previous experience in promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on large-scale construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of Fieldview, Viewpoint and Snag R online document control and QA platforms.
  • ECS Manager’s Card or CSCS Card (Black Card).
  • SMSTS or SSSTS.
