We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team due to a number of exciting new projects across the Industrial and Residential sector. What You’ll Do
- Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cost-effective and efficient designs.
- Manage the project design budget and timeline.
- Work closely with the client team liaising on multiple projects.
- Maintain effective communication with the customer on all agreed actions to ensure that any issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
- Lead design team meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on project progress.
- Ensure all projects adhere to company standards and industry regulations.
- Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the design and construction process.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Design Manager for a main contractor.
- Experience of working within the construction industry, specifically on design and build, new build and refurbishment projects.
- A good knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations.
- Experience of managing document management systems.
