We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in Wakefield to work on a variety of Industrial, Logistics, Commercial and Residential projects. What You’ll Do
- Work on a variety of projects in Yorkshire reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
- Provide commercial support to project teams with a mix of office and site‑based work.
- Ensure that projects are administered effectively and that the business objectives – including commercial targets and customer focus – are achieved.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.
- Familiarity with JCT/NEC/other forms of contract.
- Knowledge of current Construction Law.
- Experience in commercial management.
- Experience in procurement of subcontractors, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations.
- Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
Personal Attributes
- Ability to work in a team environment contributing across the business unit.
- Good management skills.
- Ability to motivate self and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance.
- Good operational planning and time management skills.
